INTRODUCING
THE ANIMATION LAB
A new workshop for kids who are interested in animation, filmmaking and special effects!
In this workshop campers get to plan, write and create videos using all kinds of film and animation techniques, including lego animation, claymation, paper animation, digital animation, and even human animation, where YOU get to become the animated character!
Kids will learn how to add special effects to live-action video, and create some truly unforgettable scenes. They'll even record voiceover and add sound and music to really take their work to the next level!
Spotlight already provides a welcoming environment for campers with all sorts of fun events and special activity days, and The Animation Lab will be joining right in. With plenty of time together as a whole group, including the morning meet-up and lunchtime, Animation Lab campers who have friends and family in the Spotlight play will get plenty of time to spend together.
At the end of the workshop, all of our work will go up online, so you can share a link with family and friends.

We'll also, together as a group, create an animated segment that will appear as part of Spotlight's big musical at the end of the session!

Campers even have the option to help out the stage crew on show night!
